The proper list is the most important contributor to the success of any direct marketing program. Advanstar has established these basic steps to help you find the best list for your program and have it produced precisely as you need it.

The cost of your direct marketing program depends heavily on the size of your list. Each list includes a datacard available through this site showing what criteria you can use to target your message. Your Advanstar Database Account Representative will provide you with an up-to-date count.

Advanstar reserves the right to refuse a mailer or offer when it is considered either inappropriate to the target audience or competitive with Advanstar products and services.

First time email list renters require prepayment. Payment is to be made by credit card. - Your list order will be processed. Most lists will be shipped in 48 hours or less.
Special Email Handling ProceduresThe following procedures apply specifically to email: All transmissions will be processed directly by Advanstar. Advanstar will insert a header and footer in the e-mail text to allow removal from the E-mail List. The content of this header and footer is determined by Advanstar. Text to be e-mailed must be provided 3-5 days in advance (of purchase order) for approval. It should be entirely in ASCII format and provided via e-mail as straight text (PC only). This needs to be provided as an attachment in a text format; Notepad is preferred. Renters needing to send in other formats will be handled on a case-by-case basis. The e-mail message can be text and HTML only. No attachments may be included. Text messages should not exceed 500 words and the subject line should not exceed 40 characters. The "Opt-outs” and undeliverables always go to Advanstar Communications. This allows the authorized Advanstar fulfillment center to re-send “bounced” e-mail and field "unsubscribe" and “opt-out” requests. Renters may direct responders by various methods. Either (1) direct them to visit a Web site for further information, qualification and follow-up, (2) call an 800 number, or any other call to action. Upon approval of the message, e-mail transmission will be scheduled. Due to the variances of the Internet and recipients’ e-mail processing, customers will receive the message over a period ranging from immediately to as much as three days. Up to 10% of outgoing e-mail typically “bounces” back and these are re-sent at no extra charge. Pricing is based on net error-free e-mails delivered or a minimum charge. Your final cost will be provided after the message has been transmitted. Prepaid orders will receive a refund for undelivered e-mails unless a minimum email order.
